Founded by local professionally trained actor and teacher, Anna McNamara, the Guildford Theatre School is an independently owned performing arts school. We value traditional approaches to dancing, singing and drama training.

Our staff have trained at some of the nation’s most prestigious performing arts institutions including the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, the Guildford School of Acting, Rose Bruford College, Bodywork Cambridge, Bird College and Mountview.

Past pupils have been offered places at many of the world’s most prestigious performing arts institutions studying dance, acting and musical theatre, including Arts Educational School London, Bodywork Cambridge, Brighton Theatre Academy, The Brit School, Bird College, East 15, Guildford School of Acting, Laine Theatre Arts, Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts, MADD, Momentum Performing Arts, Mountview, Performers College, RADA, Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, and Trinity Laban.
Accreditations & Certifications
The Guildford Theatre School is a Recognised School with the Council for Drama Dance and Musical Theatre Training (CDMT) and has been awarded the Council’s certificate of good professional practice. The Guildford Theatre School is also a Registered Examination Centre for Trinity College London. We were delighted to be named one of the first Trinity Champion Centres in recognition of our sustained successful delivery of Trinity qualifications. Trinity Champion Centres inspire by sharing best practice and advocating for accreditation in communities. We are also very proud to enter dance students for examinations with the Imperial Society for Teachers of Dancing (ISTD).
